Landmarks of Infosys Presentation

My internal exams are goin on so i don't hv much time to devote. 

Today that is on Feb 24, 2009 infy presentation was held in the coll which was delivered by infy HR for North India, Mr.Sudhir Mishra. First of all he spoke about the wonderful performance by earlier batches of our seniors in infy.He told that during training and on the job , the cumulative record was extremely good.

Then he gave a presentation on the emerging trends in IT.That presentation was focused on illustrating that how the business model has transformed in the last 18-20 years in INDIA INC.

The trend shifted in the following way:

Technical Man Power Guide->Offshoring/Outsourcing/Near Sourcing->End to end solution-> Research and development->Consultancy->Business transformation

Then he gave another introductory presentation on software team structure of infy which is as follows:

Team member-> Module leader->PM ->Senior PM ->Group PM ->Delivery manager

This whole cycle takes place about 8-10 years for an individual to go from one end to another.

The presentation ended when he gave his personal advice on what should be the attitude of a fresher. He urged to take the 6 months of training period as the 9th semester under parental adoption on Infosys, to take our salary as a scholarship to learn further.

Finally his lecture ended by another small presentation on Attitude and Technology.

GOOD ABSORBERS ARE GOOD EMITTERS

The gist of the Stefan-Boltzmann's Law was that a good emitter is a good absorber and vice versa.

In order for any matter to absorb a photon of given energy hf , it must have a pair of energy levels separated by that amount of energy hf. If a pair of electron energy levels is available for absorption of a photon, it is also available for emission of a photon, i.e. , radiation. If it is available for an upward jump, it is available for a downward jump.
